Project Background

With the rising incidence of eye diseases globally, there is an urgent need for more effective research and treatment methods

With the rising incidence of eye diseases (particularly corneal diseases) globally, there is an urgent need for more effective research and treatment methods. Decentralized Science (DeSci) can meet this need by incentivizing innovation, enhancing transparency, and streamlining intellectual property management.

Our project aims to build a decentralized research platform focused on corneal health to facilitate collaboration among patients, researchers, and funders, optimize research funding processes, and promote the development of new therapies.

Project Objectives

  • Facilitate collaboration among patients, researchers, and funders
  • Optimize research funding processes
  • Promote the development of new therapies
  • Enhance the democratization level of scientific research
  • Establish an active scientific research community aligned with decentralization principles

Core Highlights

Our platform offers various innovative features to promote the development of corneal health research

Decentralized Funding Support

Emulating Molecule's success, using smart contracts to provide direct funding for research projects through a token economy model for financing and rewards.

Intellectual Property Protection

Using a Proof of Invention (PoI) system to ensure researchers can safely and authentically submit and register their research outcomes through blockchain technology.

Promoting Community Participation

Building an active community (similar to VitaDAO) to attract researchers, patients, and volunteers to participate in research projects and funding decision processes.

Open Data Sharing

Creating a shared database allowing researchers to upload their data and research results to promote collaboration across researchers, especially in corneal disease research.

Technology and Tool Integration

Integrating existing technological tools such as Matrix Bio to analyze users' health and genetic data, providing more insights for research and helping identify potential treatments.

Implementation Plan

Our project will be implemented in four phases to ensure the smooth development and promotion of the platform

Phase One: 6 months

Platform Design and Development

Collaborate with technical teams to develop the platform's infrastructure, ensuring user-friendliness with necessary contract functionalities.

Phase Two: 6 months

Community Recruitment and Promotion

Recruit researchers and patients through online seminars and social media campaigns. Publicize how decentralized funding can impact the corneal health field.

Phase Three: 6 months

Launch Crowdfunding and Fund Projects

Conduct crowdfunding campaigns, raise project funds, and determine priority research directions.

Phase Four: 12 months

Project Execution and Evaluation

Launch key research projects, use the decentralized platform for data collection and result sharing, and continuously optimize platform features based on feedback.
